I picked the wrong domain or details during setup. What can I change?

Domain names can't be changed after setup starts, but we can change your redirect and, on request, your sender names.

Written by Andre Haykal Jr

TL;DR

  • Domain names are permanent once setup starts. They can't be changed, swapped, reset or replaced.

  • We can change your website redirect at any time, with no effect on warmup.

  • We can change sender names on request, but each changed inbox restarts its 14-day warmup.

  • ListKit doesn't transfer domains or give DNS access.

  • To send from a domain you already own, connect its existing mailboxes yourself.

When you'd use this

Use this if you made a typo, picked a domain style you don't like, entered the wrong persona name or redirect, or want to use your own domain.

How

Website redirect

Yes, any time. No effect on warmup.

Sender name

Yes, on request. Each changed inbox restarts its 14-day warmup. We advise against it.

Once setup starts, your domains can't be changed, swapped or reset. ListKit buys and manages them for sending only: there's no DNS access, no transfers, and they can't host a website.

What to do

  1. If something looks wrong, message us as soon as you notice, with a screenshot.

  2. For a redirect or sender name change, follow the linked articles above.

  3. For a domain you don't like, keep sending from it. Prospects mostly see your sender name and the email address, and results come from your list, offer and copy.

Expected outcome

You know what we can fix, what stays as it is, and what to do next.

FAQ

What can you offer if I picked the wrong domain?

Registered domains can't be changed or replaced. We can still change your redirect and, if you really need it, your sender names.

Can I transfer my domain to my own registrar?

No. ListKit doesn't transfer domains.

Can I get DNS access or host a website on my domain?

No. ListKit manages the domains for sending only.

Can I use my own domain instead?

Yes: connect its existing mailboxes from the Inboxes page. ListKit can't create new inboxes on your domain. See How do I connect my own inboxes to Email Engine?

Can I log in to the inboxes ListKit created?

No. ListKit sets up and manages the Google Workspace inboxes it provides, so there's no password access. Replies from your leads come into Master Inbox, where you read and answer them.

Can I pick the names of pre-warmed domains?

You can choose from the pre-warmed domains that are available, but you can't request specific names. They aren't based on your brand.

How long does setup take and where do I see progress?

Pre-warmed: usually minutes, occasionally up to 72 hours. Branded: up to 72 hours, then 14 days of warmup. Progress shows on the Inboxes page. See Some of my inboxes are missing or my setup is stuck. What should I do?
