How do I make changes to an existing campaign (scripts or schedule)?

Accessing Your Campaign Settings

Before making any changes to your existing campaigns, you'll need to access the campaign editor:

First Step:

  1. Head to https://send.listkit.io and sign into your account.

  2. Head to the Email Campaign tab.

  3. Click on the pencil next to the campaign that you want to change.

Once you've accessed the campaign editor, you can modify either the email scripts or the sending schedule.

Modifying Campaign Scripts

Changing your email scripts allows you to refine your messaging, adjust your value proposition, or test new approaches without creating an entirely new campaign.

Email Script Best Practices

When editing your campaign scripts, consider these guidelines:

  • Maintain personalization: Keep personalization variables intact to ensure messages remain tailored to each recipient

  • A/B test thoughtfully: Make controlled changes to test specific elements rather than overhauling the entire message

  • Preserve proven elements: Retain components that have demonstrated good performance in previous sends

  • Check for deliverability issues: Avoid spam trigger words and maintain a good text-to-link ratio

What is Spintax and how do I use it?

Spintax is a powerful text variation system that helps prevent your emails from being flagged as duplicate content. It works by allowing you to specify multiple variations of a phrase that the system will randomly select from when sending each email.

Tips for Effective Spintax:

  • Use natural language variations that maintain your messaging

  • Keep a consistent tone across all variations

  • Test your spintax to ensure all possible combinations make sense

  • Focus on varying common phrases that might trigger pattern detection

Adjusting Campaign Schedule

Optimizing your sending schedule can significantly impact open rates and engagement. Here's how to modify when your campaigns are delivered:

  1. Head to Setup

  2. Click Schedule

  3. Campaign Inside here you can change the time zone that you’d like to send within. Do not touch the section under An email will be sent every:

  4. Click Save once done

  5. Click Save & Next then Update Campaign (both buttons in the bottom right)

    Schedule Optimization Strategies

    While adjusting your schedule, consider these best practices:

    • Target business hours: Schedule emails to arrive during your recipients' working hours

    • Avoid Monday mornings and Friday afternoons: These times typically see lower engagement

    • Consider industry norms: Different sectors have different optimal timing

    • Account for time zones: Ensure your schedule accommodates the geographic distribution of your audience

    Important: Preserve Sending Intervals

    The system is configured with optimal sending intervals to maximize deliverability. Do not modify the "An email will be sent every:" section as this could negatively impact your sender reputation and inbox placement.

    Saving Your Changes

    After making modifications to either scripts or schedule:

    1. Save changes within the specific section you're editing

    2. Navigate to the bottom right of the interface

    3. Click the Save & Next button

    4. Finally, click Update Campaign to implement your changes

    Your modified campaign will begin using the new settings with the next scheduled send.
