TL;DR
Each campaign shows its bounces in the Bounce column on the Campaign page and in the Analytics table.
In Master Inbox, filter By Category and pick Bounced or Unsubscribed to see leads with those categories. This may not include every bounced address.
For a full bounced and unsubscribed list for a finished campaign, message us.
To stop emailing someone right away, change their category to Unsubscribed in Master Inbox.
There's no self-serve do-not-contact list yet. Message us if you need to block contacts or bring an unsubscribe list from another tool.
When you'd use this
Use this when you want to check how many emails bounced, clean your list, honor an opt-out request, or make sure a contact isn't emailed again in a future campaign.
Step-by-step
See how many emails bounced
Open the Campaign page (next.listkit.io/campaign).
Look at the Bounce column for each campaign. It shows the bounce count and percentage.
You can also see a Bounce column in the Active Campaigns table on the Analytics page.
See which leads bounced or unsubscribed
Open Master Inbox (next.listkit.io/master-inbox).
Click the filter button to open Filter Options.
Under By Category, choose Specific Lead Category, then select Bounced, Unsubscribed or both.
Pick a campaign under By Campaign if you only want one campaign, then click Apply.
Stop emailing a lead now
In Master Inbox, find the lead. If they never replied, look in the Sent folder for the emails you sent them.
Open the conversation and change the category to Unsubscribed (or Not Interested). Their sequence stops.
If you can't find the lead, message us with their email address and the campaign name.
Keep people out of future campaigns
When you add leads to a new campaign, leave the options to import leads that are unsubscribed or on the global blacklist turned off, and turn on the option to exclude leads that are already in another campaign.
To leave out a whole company when you build a list, use the Exclude Companies filter in Search. See How do I search a list of specific companies, or exclude companies?.
For anything else, like a list of addresses to block: Send us a message in the app. Our support team replies Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET, usually within 2 hours. Messages sent outside those hours are answered the next business day.
Expected outcome
You know how many emails bounced and who opted out, and those people aren't emailed again by the campaign or by your next one.
FAQ
How can I see the contacts that have bounced during a campaign?
Filter Master Inbox by the Bounced category for that campaign. For a complete list for a finished campaign, message us and we'll send it.
Why don't all my bounces show in Master Inbox?
A bounce isn't a reply from the lead, so only bounces that were categorized show up under Bounced. The Bounce column on the Campaign page counts every bounce.
Can I see why an email bounced?
No. ListKit doesn't show a bounce reason for each lead.
Is there a way to upload an unsubscribe list from another provider?
Not as an upload yet. You can keep those people out yourself: change a lead's category to Unsubscribed in Master Inbox to stop their sequence; use the Exclude Companies filter in Search to leave out whole companies; and when you add leads to a campaign, keep the options to import unsubscribed or blacklisted leads turned off and turn on the option to exclude leads already used in another campaign. For a longer list from another tool, send it to us in the app and our team will check what we can do.
Why is my bounce number higher than the number of people who bounced?
The Bounce column counts bounce events. One address can bounce more than once, for example on a follow-up.
Is my bounce rate a problem?
Not on its own. If your positive replies are healthy, you can ignore it. If positive replies drop and bounces are high, follow Why is my bounce rate high and how do I fix it?.
