When you'd use this
Use it when you're starting a new campaign and don't want to write from a blank page. The AI Script Writer follows the structure of campaigns that work for ListKit customers, so you start from a proven format and add your own details.
Before you start: what to have ready
The more specific your inputs, the better the output.
What you sell: a specific description of your offer. Not "marketing services", but something like "cold email campaigns for B2B SaaS companies with 10 to 50 employees".
Who you sell to: industry, job title, company size and location for this campaign.
A case study or proof point: one real result, for example "Booked 14 meetings in 30 days for a staffing agency in Chicago".
Your call to action: what you want the prospect to do, and what they get when they do it.
Industry language: terms your audience actually uses.
Step-by-step
Open the Campaign page (next.listkit.io/campaign), create or open a campaign, and go to step 2, Create Sequence. If the campaign is live, click Pause campaign first, because the sequence is locked while it sends.
Under Regenerate your sequence with AI, click Generate with AI · 100 credits.
Fill in the panel as specifically as you can: your offer, your audience, your proof point, your call to action and what the prospect gets, industry language and any extra notes. For cold emails, a call or a demo is the safest call to action. Save videos for replies (see How do I embed a Loom video thumbnail in my reply?).
Generate the sequence.
Review the result. Email Step #1 has 4 variants, each with its own subject line and body. The two follow-ups are sent in the same thread and have 2 variants each, body only.
Edit anything that doesn't sound like you or doesn't match your offer, then continue to Campaign Setup.
You don't need to add a signature to your sequence. Each inbox's signature is added automatically when the email is sent, even though Preview Email doesn't show it. Don't type %signature% or your own sign-off block into your emails. If an older sequence has %signature% in it, remove it so the signature isn't added twice.
How variants are sent
For each step, ListKit picks one variant at random for each lead.
You can't link variant A of the first email to variant A of a follow-up.
The AI writes the first 3 steps. You can add more follow-ups with Add follow-up, but you write those yourself.
Tips for better output
Be specific with your case study. Numbers, industries and timeframes make the copy more convincing.
Use your prospect's language. If your audience talks about churn, ARR and MRR, put those words in.
Regenerate with better inputs, not the same ones. Each generation costs 100 credits, so improve your inputs first.
Don't over-edit. Small wording changes are fine. Keep the structure until you have results from your first campaign.

You have a full 3-step sequence with 8 variants, written around your offer, audience and proof point, ready to review and send.

Can I regenerate if I'm not happy with the output?
Yes. Make your inputs more specific and generate again. Each generation costs 100 credits and replaces the current sequence, so copy anything you want to keep first.
Can I edit the generated copy?
Yes. Every subject line and body is editable in the sequence editor.
Do I have to use all the variants?
No. You can delete variants you don't want to test. Each step needs at least one variant before you can publish.
Can I use the AI Script Writer on an existing campaign?
Yes. Open the campaign, pause it if it's live, go to the sequence step and click Generate with AI · 100 credits. It replaces your existing sequence.
What if I don't have a case study yet?
Describe the kind of result you help clients get, as specifically as you can. Update your inputs once you have real results.
Where do I get more credits?
Your balance shows at the top of the app. Get more credits takes you to the Billing page, where you can buy credit packs.
Can I see which variant performs best?
Analytics doesn't show results per variant yet. To compare angles properly, run them as separate campaigns and compare positive replies.
