TL;DR
The Employees filter targets company size by headcount range. Treat it as a range selector, not an exact measurement.
The Revenue Range filter targets annual revenue, from Under 1 Million to 1 Billion & Over.
Select multiple adjacent ranges rather than one narrow bracket, since public data often underestimates real team size.
Combine both filters with Industry and Job Title for the strongest targeting.
When you'd use this / Why it matters
Company size and revenue strongly influence budget, buying power, sales cycle length, and who the actual decision-maker is. A 5-person company buys very differently than a 500-person company.
Employees filter
Available ranges:
1–10
11–50
51–200
201–500
501–1000
1001–5000
5001–10000
10001+
These ranges are directional, not exact. Public employee counts often undercount real team size because contractors, VAs, and offline workers aren't fully reflected.
For example, a company with 30 real employees may show up in 1–10, and one with 800 may show up in 201–500. Use this filter like a net, not a laser, and let your copy and replies do the final qualification.
Recommended ranges by ICP type:
ICP type | Recommended range |
Small/lower-mid business | 1–200 |
Mid-market | 11–1000 |
Enterprise | 501–1000 and every larger range (add 201–500 to catch undercounted companies) |
Rule of thumb: Select more ranges, not fewer, to avoid excluding good-fit prospects. The recommended ranges overlap on purpose. Employee data undercounts, so err wide.
Revenue Range filter
Available ranges:
Under 1 Million
1 Million to 5 Million
5 Million to 10 Million
10 Million to 25 Million
25 Million to 50 Million
50 Million to 100 Million
100 Million to 250 Million
250 Million to 500 Million
500 Million to 1 Billion
1 Billion & Over
Revenue signals whether a company can realistically afford your offer. If you're consistently getting "interested but can't afford it" replies, this filter can help correct that.
Using both together
Combining Employees and Revenue Range gives you the clearest picture of a company's actual scale and budget. Headcount and revenue don't always align perfectly, so checking both catches more accurate matches.
Example: A mid-market SaaS tool might target Employees 11–50 through 501–1000, and Revenue Range 10 Million to 25 Million plus 25 Million to 50 Million.
Expected outcome
You should now be able to:
Select appropriate employee ranges for your ICP
Select appropriate revenue ranges for your price point
Combine both filters for stronger firmographic targeting
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Why do employee counts seem inaccurate?
Public data sources undercount real team size due to contractors, offline workers, and incomplete LinkedIn profiles. Treat ranges as directional.
Should I select just one employee range?
No. Select every range your ICP could realistically fall into.
Does revenue always align with employee count?
Not always. Use both filters together for a fuller picture.
Does company size affect credit usage?
No. Credits are only used for the fields you export.
