TL;DR

  • Phone number enrichment uses whatever identifying data you already have on a lead — Business Email, LinkedIn URL, name, or company domain.

  • Select "Mobile Phone Number" in the Field Selection step to include it in your enrichment.

  • Mobile Phone Number uses credits.

  • Not every lead will return a phone number — it depends on what's available and how much identifying data you started with.

When you'd use this / Why it matters

Phone numbers are one of the harder data points to enrich, since not every lead has a publicly discoverable number. Understanding what ListKit needs to find one — and how to select it correctly — helps you get the best match rate possible.

What ListKit uses to find a phone number

You don't need a specific starting field to enrich phone numbers. ListKit can attempt to find a number using any identifying data already on the lead, including:

  • Business Email

  • LinkedIn URL

  • Name

  • Company domain

The more of these you have on a given lead, the better the chances of a successful match.

Step-by-step: Enrich leads with phone numbers

  1. Upload your CSV or import from HubSpot, as with any enrichment job

  2. Complete column mapping

  3. On the Field Selection screen, go to the Leads tab

  4. Check the box next to Mobile Phone Number

  5. Select any other fields you want enriched alongside it

  6. Review your estimated credit cost

  7. Click Continue, then Start Enrichment

Monitoring results

Once enrichment starts, each lead will show a status:

  • Enriching — processing in progress

  • Enriched — data successfully found and filled

  • Not Found — insufficient data to identify the lead or locate a number

Leads marked "Not Found" for phone number specifically usually didn't have enough identifying data tied to a discoverable number — this is normal and expected on a portion of any list.

Expected outcome

You should now be able to:

  • Enrich phone numbers using whatever lead data you already have

  • Select the correct field during Field Selection

  • Understand why some leads won't return a phone number

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Do I need a LinkedIn URL to enrich a phone number?
No. LinkedIn URL helps, but Business Email, name, or domain can also be used.

Why did some leads come back without a phone number?
Not every lead has a publicly discoverable number. This is expected and not every record will return one.

Does phone number enrichment cost more than other fields?
Yes — see "How many credits does enrichment use?" for the exact cost.
