How do I enrich a lead list, and what data can I add?

Upload a list, map your columns and pick the fields to fill in; only verified business emails and mobile numbers found use credits.

Written by Andre Haykal Jr

TL;DR

  • Enrichment fills in missing contact and company data for a list you already have.

  • Upload a CSV, map your columns, pick the fields you want, check the credit estimate, then start.

  • Each row needs at least one of: a LinkedIn URL, a business email, a full name plus company name or domain, or a company domain. More identifiers mean more matches.

  • Only two fields use credits: a triple-verified business email (1 credit) and a mobile phone number (3 credits, US only, only when a number is found). Every other field is free when available.

  • Rows where nothing is found aren't charged.

When you'd use this

Use Enrichment when you have a partial or outdated list from a CRM, a spreadsheet, LinkedIn or a list of domains, and you want to fill the gaps without manual research. If you need brand-new leads instead, use Search: see How do I use Search to build a lead list?

What you need in each row

Enrichment can start from a single identifier per row, but match rates are much higher with more. Each row should have at least one of:

  • A LinkedIn URL

  • A business email

  • A full name plus company name or domain

  • A company domain

Step-by-step

1. Open Enrichment

Open the Enrichment page from the left sidebar (or go to next.listkit.io/enrichment).

2. Upload your file

Start a new enrichment and upload your CSV (drag and drop it, or browse for it). Give the list a name so you can find it later.

3. Map your columns

ListKit matches the columns it recognizes and shows which ones still need mapping. Use the dropdowns to map the rest, for example your LinkedIn URL column to the lead's LinkedIn URL field. Then continue.

Importing from HubSpot instead

You can also import contacts from HubSpot instead of uploading a CSV. Connect your HubSpot account, choose the contacts and map them the same way. If the import says no CRM is available, message us and we'll help.

4. Choose the fields to add

Pick lead fields, company fields, or both. You can enrich company data without lead data, and the other way round. The full list of fields is below.

5. Review the estimate and start

If you're asked to choose data sources or email finders, keep the defaults unless you have a reason to change them. Check your credit balance and the estimated credit use, then start the enrichment.

6. Track progress and download

You'll see a live table of your rows. Each row shows whether it is still being enriched, was enriched, or wasn't found.

When the job is complete, download your enriched file. Your enrichment jobs stay listed on the Enrichment page.

Troubleshooting: the column-mapping page keeps resetting

  1. Upload your file to Google Drive and open it in Google Sheets.

  2. Check that every column has a clear header and remove empty columns.

  3. Choose File, then Download, then Comma-separated values (.csv).

  4. Upload the new CSV and map the columns again.

Re-saving the file this way removes hidden formatting that can make the page reset. If it still resets, send us the file and we'll run the enrichment for you. Send us a message in the app. Our support team replies Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET, usually within 2 hours. Messages sent outside those hours are answered the next business day.

Expected outcome

You get a downloadable file with the missing fields filled in wherever data was found, and you only pay credits for verified business emails and mobile numbers that were found.

FAQ

Why does a row say Not Found?

There wasn't enough identifying data to match that person or company, often because the row had no LinkedIn URL or domain. You aren't charged for it.

Can I enrich with LinkedIn URLs only?

Yes. A LinkedIn URL on its own is enough to start a row.

Does enrichment use credits?

Only two fields do: a triple-verified business email (1 credit) and a mobile phone number (3 credits, US only, only when a number is found). Everything else is free when available. See What are ListKit credits and how do they work?

Does ListKit do LinkedIn outreach?

No. ListKit doesn't send messages on LinkedIn. You can add a person's LinkedIn URL as a field and use it in your own process.

Which CRM can I import from?

HubSpot. If the import option says no CRM is available, message us and we'll help.
