TL;DR
Five Company Filters describe what kind of business a company is: AI Score, Target Audience, Business Model, Revenue Model and Growth Stage.
Selecting several values in one filter returns companies that match any of them.
Some values overlap (two names for a similar stage or model). Select both so you don't miss companies.
Use these on top of Company Keywords or Industry, not instead of them.
When you'd use this
Use these filters when your offer only fits a certain kind of business: one that sells to consumers, one that bills by subscription, or one at a certain stage. They remove companies whose structure doesn't match your offer.
Where to find these filters
Open the Leads page from the sidebar (or go to next.listkit.io/leads).
Click Filters and scroll to Company Filters, or type the filter name into Search for filter.
Select the values that fit, then save your selection.
Business Model
How the company operates, for example B2B, B2C, SaaS, B2G or non-profit. Use it when your offer only works for one model.
Example: a B2B invoicing tool selects the B2B values and leaves out consumer brands. If hybrid companies fit too, select the hybrid B2B and B2C values as well.
Target Audience
Who the company sells to, for example businesses, homeowners, patients or enterprises. This describes the company's customers, not the people you are contacting.
Example: a home improvement financing tool selects Homeowners plus Industry = Construction, so it reaches companies whose customers are homeowners rather than commercial clients.
Revenue Model
How the company makes money, for example subscription, product sales, services, project-based or donations. Use it when your pitch depends on how they earn revenue.
Example: a churn-reduction tool selects Subscription, because churn only matters to recurring-revenue businesses.
Growth Stage
How mature the business is, from solo and early-stage companies through growth and scale-up to established, mature and public companies. Match it to your price point and sales cycle.
Growth Stage is not about funding rounds. For seed, Series A and other rounds, use the Funding filter. See How do I find companies that recently raised funding or are hiring?
AI Score
A fit rating that ranks how strongly each company matches. Apply it last, after your other filters, to prioritize when you have a large pool.
Example: export the highest-scoring companies first to test a new offer, then expand to the next level if the list is too small. In a small niche, leave AI Score unset so you don't miss anyone.
Expected outcome
Your list only contains companies whose model, customers and stage fit your offer, which usually means better reply rates.
FAQ
What happens if I select several values?
You get companies that match any of them.
Why did I miss companies I expected to see?
Some values overlap, for example two names for an early stage or for a sales-based revenue model. Select every value that fits.
Should I use these instead of Industry?
No. Use Company Keywords or Industry to define the market, then these to remove poor fits.
Do these filters use credits?
No. Searching, filtering and checking counts are free. Credits are only used when you export.
