How do I find companies that recently raised funding or are hiring?

Use the Funding and Hiring filters to reach companies that are growing and spending right now.

Written by Andre Haykal Jr

TL;DR

  • Funding and Hiring are timing signals. Both are under Company Filters on the Leads page.

  • Funding lets you target companies by funding type, total amount raised and how recently they raised.

  • Hiring lets you target companies that are hiring (or not hiring), based on public job listings.

  • Use them on top of Industry, Employee Size and Job Title, not on their own.

When you'd use this

Companies that just raised money or are hiring are usually growing and spending: new teams, new tools, new vendors. If your offer helps companies grow, scale or hire, these filters help you reach them at the right moment.

Where to find these filters

  1. Open the Leads page from the sidebar (or go to next.listkit.io/leads).

  2. Click Filters and open Funding or Hiring under Company Filters.

  3. Set your values, then add Industry, Employee Size, location and Job Title.

Funding

You can combine three things:

  • Funding type: for example pre-seed and seed, Series A to C, later rounds, private equity, or undisclosed.

  • Total amount raised: a minimum and maximum.

  • How recently the company raised.

Matching funding type to your offer

  • Pre-seed and seed: startups finding product-market fit. Good for branding, early marketing, web design and pitch decks.

  • Series A to C: companies with traction that are scaling. Good for CRMs, outbound, paid ads, hiring and sales or ops tools.

  • Series D and later, or post-IPO: mature companies with large budgets. Good for enterprise software and high-ticket services.

  • Private equity: companies going through ownership changes. Good for operations, consulting and HR.

Amount and recency

  • Under about $500K: very early startups. $500K to $5M: early traction. $5M to $50M: scaling with real budget. $50M and up: large organizations.

  • Raised in the last 6 months: fresh money, highest urgency. Last 12 months: still growing. Longer ago: more stable.

Example: a SaaS agency might target Series A to C, raised in the last 12 months, $2M to $20M total, and job titles CEO, COO and Head of Growth. Mention the recent funding in your message.

Hiring

The Hiring filter splits companies into those that are hiring and those that aren't, based on public job listings.

  • Hiring usually means growth, new budget and new pain points. Good for recruiting firms, HR software, sales enablement, marketing agencies and anyone helping companies scale.

  • Not hiring usually means stability and cost control. Good for automation, efficiency and outsourcing offers.

Hiring data is a useful signal but not always current, and it doesn't show which roles are open. Check a company's job postings before you mention a specific role.

Expected outcome

Your list is focused on companies that are actively growing or spending, and your message can reference the timing signal.

FAQ

What is the difference between Funding and Growth Stage?

Funding is about money raised (type, amount and date). Growth Stage describes how mature the business is overall. Use Funding for funding rounds. See How do I use the company profile filters (AI Score, Target Audience, Business Model, Revenue Model, Growth Stage)?

Can I combine Hiring with Job Title?

Yes. Job Title filters the people you contact, not the roles being hired for. For example, Hiring plus Job Title "Head of Marketing" reaches marketing leaders at growing companies.

Is Funding or Hiring enough on its own?

No. Always pair them with Industry, Employee Size, location and Job Title.

Do these filters use credits?

No. Searching, filtering and checking counts are free. Credits are only used when you export.
