NOTE: Setting up a Webhook for your campaigns is not 100% in our control. We utilize a 3rd party provider for our sending, the best tool on the market. We cannot delve too far into the webhook on your end as the data is on your side. All we can do is configure it on our end like below:
Webhooks are a powerful automation tool that lets apps send real-time data to each other. In simple terms, a webhook is like a digital messenger, it listens for specific triggers (like a positive reply in your inbox) and then sends a notification or performs an action automatically.
At ListKit, we can use webhooks to notify you when you get positive replies from your leads. This way, you don’t miss out on hot prospects, and you can take immediate action to follow up or update your CRM.
Here’s how to set it up using Zapier, a no-code automation platform that connects your apps together:
Step-by-Step: How to Set Up Your Webhook in Zapier
1. Sign Up for Zapier
Head to https://zapier.com/sign-up
Create your account. We recommend using the lowest-tier paid subscription, which unlocks Webhooks and many other essential automations that can significantly help your workflow.
2. Create a New Zap
From the left-hand menu, click on “Create”
Then select “Zaps”
3. Add Your Trigger
Once the Zap editor loads, click on the “Trigger” section
In the popup, search for “Webhooks”
Select “Webhooks (Legacy)” to continue
4. Configure the Webhook Trigger
5. Get Your Webhook URL
You’ll now be shown a Webhook URL
Copy this URL and send it to:
| We’ll handle the configuration on our side to connect it to your sending tool.
6. Test the Webhook
Once we confirm that the webhook is configured, click on “Test Trigger”
Then click on “Continue with selected record”
Choose Where You Want to Get Notified (Example: Slack)
7. Choose Your Action App
After your trigger is ready, select the CRM or tool where you want to receive the notification. In this example, we’ll use Slack.
8. Set Up Your Action
9. Connect Your CRM
Click Sign In and log into your Slack or chosen CRM
After logging in, click Continue
10. Finish & Publish
Review your setup
Click on the “Publish” button at the top right corner
That’s it — your webhook is now live!
With this webhook setup, every time you receive a positive reply, you’ll get an immediate notification where you want it, whether that’s Slack, email, your CRM, or anywhere else Zapier supports.
