How To Find Qualified Leads In Your ICP Using ListKit

In this article, we'll be showing you how to reverse-engineer your Ideal Client Profile using company URLs and Data Visualization

Whenever you build a list of leads using ListKit, it's important to understand who your Ideal Client Profile is.

If you're not sure who your Ideal Client Profile (ICP) is, you'll be spraying and praying emails to random prospects, and your results will suffer.

If you don't know how to craft your ICP...

ListKit has you covered.

Here's how it works:

First, build a search of companies in your ICP.

Once you have the list of company URLs, head to ListKit and input the URLs.

Click on 'Companies' to open the companies filters tab, then click on the 3 dots, then select 'Include companies'.


Here is where you'll add the list of company URLs.

For this example, let's say we have a service that we'd like to offer to personal trainers that work in the fitness industry.

We'll grab the URLs of 5 companies in the fitness industry, add them to the include companies filter (1) then hit the 'Save' button (2), and click on Apply filters.


Once ListKit loads up with the search of the 10 companies you've provided it with, click on the Data Visualization button, and the Data Visualization dashboard will appear.


Here is where the magic starts!

Now that the search is built, we can "reverse engineer" to see which industries, keywords, and locations your dream clients fall under.

First, we'll be checking the top 5 industries your dream clients fall under.

If you do find multiple industries that fit your ICP, you're good to go, save these to add them later to your Filters list in ListKit.

If not, then remove the industries that aren't a good fit.

Of course, since we're targeting fitness companies, "Wellness and Fitness Services" is a great industry to start with.


Next, we have the top 5 job titles.

Of course, job titles like "CEO" "Founder" "Owner" "CMO" are all good people to target in your search.

But, titles like "Personal Trainer" and "Fitness Instructor" may be good to add, and this is all thanks to the Data Visualization Chart.


Finally, you can scroll through the top keywords to see if any are a good fit.

Keywords like "Bodybuilding" and "Workout equipment" are both good keywords to target companies in the fitness industry. Check all the keywords available, and grab every one that you may see fit.


Filters like company size and location are less important, but if you want to target a certain sized company, or a company HQ'd in a certain state...

Then of course, company size and location will do the trick!


Now, we take all of the filters we've grabbed so far and add them to a new ListKit search.

(Make sure to add the 'People Location' filter as it's different from the 'Company location' filter. If you want Employees that are based in the US for example, you'll need to add US to the 'People Location' filter, otherwise you'll have companies based in the US but employees from all around the world).

What you need to do after applying all of the filters, is clicking on the next step button on the top right corner of your dashboard. Once pop up appears, add the maximum amount of leads you'd like to export per company, add the amount of leads you want to export, then click on Redeem credits, and the triple verification process will appear.


Once your order is ready, you'll receive an email to download it, or you can go to the order history, click on the 3 dots next to your order, and click on download.

This is how you reverse-engineer a search using Data Visualization and Company URLs...
