Can I use ListKit for my clients or run an agency on one account?

Two ways agencies run client campaigns on ListKit today, and the trade-offs between them.

Written by Andre Haykal Jr

TL;DR

  • Yes. Many agencies run client campaigns on ListKit.

  • Option 1: run several clients in one account. Add a Bundle for each client's volume and name campaigns by client.

  • Option 2: use a separate ListKit account for each client, each with its own email and subscription.

  • One email can belong to only one ListKit account. Separate client workspaces inside one account are in development, with no date yet.

When you'd use this

Use this if you're an agency, consultant or freelancer sending cold email on behalf of clients, and you're deciding how to set up ListKit.

How it works

What differs

One account for all clients

One account per client

One login (plus teammates you invite)

A separate email and login for each client

Billing

One bill. Add a Bundle per client's volume.

Each account has its own subscription

Credits

One shared credit balance

Separate credits per client

Inboxes and domains

All in one Inboxes page. You choose which inboxes send each campaign.

Separate for each client

Replies and results

One Master Inbox and Analytics. Filter by campaign.

Separate for each client

Client access

A client you invite sees the whole account

The client can have their own login

Steps

Run several clients in one account

  1. Add a Bundle for each client's sending volume. See How do I add more sending volume (another Bundle)?

  2. Set up that Bundle's domains and inboxes.

  3. Build each client's lead lists and create separate campaigns, named by client (for example "Acme | Dentists | Oct").

  4. In Campaign Setup, choose only that client's inboxes as senders.

  5. In Master Inbox, filter by campaign to see one client's replies. See How do I filter replies in Master Inbox?

Use a separate account per client

  1. Sign up for ListKit with a different email address for each client.

  2. Buy a Bundle in each account and set it up as usual.

  3. If you need access to a client's account, ask them to invite you as a teammate with an email that isn't already a ListKit login.

Expected outcome

You have a setup that matches how you bill and report to your clients, with each client's campaigns and replies easy to find.

FAQ

Can my client log in to see their campaigns?
Only as a member of the account. Members see the whole account, including other clients' campaigns and replies, because there are no roles. If that's a problem, use a separate account for that client.

Can one email join two ListKit accounts?
No. One email can belong to only one ListKit account. Use a different email for each account.

Can I share a lead list with a client?
Yes. In Order History, use Send order to share the order, or download the CSV. See How do I save, share and reuse a search?

Can I keep each client's credits separate in one account?
No. One account has one shared credit balance. Use separate accounts if you need separate credits.

Are client workspaces coming?
Separate client workspaces inside one account are in development. We don't have a date yet.

Which option do you recommend?
If you report on clients together and want one bill, use one account with a Bundle per client. If clients need their own login or separate data, use separate accounts.
