TL;DR

  • Business Email is a lead's work email address — free to enrich, with an optional paid verification step.

  • "Direct dial" and "Mobile Phone Number" refer to the same contact type in ListKit — just different common terminology.

  • Mobile Phone Number costs 3 Credits to enrich.

  • Use Business Email for written outreach; use Mobile Phone Number for calls or SMS-based outreach.

When you'd use this / Why it matters

Different outreach channels call for different contact types. Understanding what each field actually represents — and what it costs — helps you choose the right enrichment fields for your campaign strategy.

What is a Business Email?

A Business Email is the work email address associated with a lead. In ListKit, this field is:

  • Free to enrich

  • Optionally upgradable with Verification (1 Credit) to confirm deliverability before you send

Use Business Email when your outreach is email-based — cold email campaigns, follow-ups, or any written outreach.

What is a "direct dial" number?

"Direct dial" is simply another common term for a phone number tied directly to that lead — in ListKit, this is the Mobile Phone Number field. It's the same data point; the terminology just varies depending on who's using it.

  • Costs 3 Credits to enrich

  • Can be found using any identifying data already on the lead (email, LinkedIn URL, name, or domain)

Use Mobile Phone Number when your outreach involves calling or texting a lead directly.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Is "direct dial" a separate field from Mobile Phone Number?
No — they refer to the same data point in ListKit. "Direct dial" is just alternate terminology.

Should I enrich both Business Email and Mobile Phone Number?
It depends on your outreach strategy. Many users enrich Business Email by default since it's free, and add Mobile Phone Number selectively for high-priority leads given its higher cost.

Does Business Email Verification guarantee deliverability?
It significantly increases confidence, but see "Why do my bounce rates matter and what should I aim for?" for realistic expectations even with verified emails.
