TL;DR

  • After subscribing, head to your Billing page and click Setup Now under the Bundle Setup section to start

  • Enter your main business domain, ListKit generates 25 domain variations for you to choose from

  • Select your 20 domains, add your website redirect URL, set up 2 sender personas, and confirm your setup

  • ListKit handles DNS configuration, inbox creation, and warmup automatically, you do not touch any of it

  • DNS configuration takes 48 to 72 hours, inbox creation takes 1 to 2 business days, then warmup begins automatically

Why this matters / When you'd use this

Setting up your domains and inboxes is the very first thing you do after subscribing to ListKit Bundles. This is what kicks off the entire process, domain registration, DNS configuration, inbox creation, and warmup all start from this setup flow. Until you complete it, your sending infrastructure does not exist yet.

The good news is that ListKit handles every technical step for you. Your only job is to pick your domain names, enter two sender names, and hit confirm. Everything else, DNS records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, inbox provisioning, and warmup, is fully managed.

How to find the setup page

After subscribing, you will be taken to your Billing page automatically. If you are not taken there automatically or need to find it again later, here is how to get there:

Click on your initials or email address at the bottom left corner of your ListKit dashboard. A menu will appear, click on Billing.

Once inside the Billing page, scroll down slightly until you see the Bundle Setup section. Click Setup Now to begin.

Important - If you see a Buy Inboxes button instead of Setup Now:
This means you have navigated to the Inboxes tab inside Email Engine rather than the Billing page. Go back to the Billing page using the steps above, scroll down to Bundle Setup, and click Setup Now from there to start the correct setup flow.

Step-by-step setup

Step 1 - Select your sending volume

The setup wizard opens with your sending volume already confirmed based on your Bundle subscription. This step is pre-filled, you DO NOT need to change anything here. Click Continue to Domains if you did not get automatically sent to the .

Step 2 - Pick your domains

This is where you choose the sending domains that will be registered for you.

Enter your main business domain in the Your Company Domain field - for example, yourbrand.com. Click Generate. ListKit will combine your domain name with prefixes and suffixes to generate 25 .com domain variations for you to choose from.

Make sure to scroll down to the bottom to generate more domains if you needed to select more domains to gain the full amount your Bundle offers.

Once the domains load, you have two options:

Option 1 - Auto Select
Click Auto-select to let ListKit automatically pick the required number of domains for you. This is the fastest option and the one most customers use.

Option 2 - Manual selection
Browse the list and check the domains you want to keep. You can scroll down to load more options if needed.

Once you have selected the required number of domains, enter your Website Redirect URL. This is the website your sending domains will redirect to if a prospect ever visits one of them directly, use your main company website.

Click Continue to Personas.

Step 3 - Set up your sender personas

Each inbox needs a sender identity, a first name, last name, and inbox username. This is what your prospects will see in the From field of your emails.

For a 1,000 emails per day Bundle, you have 20 domains and 40 inboxes. Since each domain has 2 inboxes, you need 2 personas, each assigned to 20 domains and 20 inboxes.

Setting up Persona 1:

Enter the first name, last name, and inbox username for your first persona. The inbox username is used as the email prefix on every assigned domain, for example, [email protected].

Click Assign Domains. A popup will appear showing all available domains. Click Select All Available, this will assign all 20 domains to Persona 1. Then click Save Assignment.

Setting up Persona 2:

Click Add Persona to add your second sender. Fill in the first name, last name, and inbox username for Persona 2 the same way you did for Persona 1.

Click Assign Domains again and assign the remaining domains to Persona 2. Once all 40 inboxes are assigned across both personas, the Continue to Checkout button will become active.

Click Continue to Checkout.

Step 4 - Review and confirm

The checkout page shows your full order summary, your selected domains, your sender personas, and the total due today.

Since domains are included free in your Bundle, the amount due today is $0.00. You will also see a What Happens Next section confirming the three steps ListKit handles automatically after you confirm:

  • Domains registered: you will be notified once ready

  • Inboxes provisioned: DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC fully managed

  • 14-day warmup begins: sending should be done once warmup completes

Click Confirm Setup.

What happens after you confirm

Once you click Confirm Setup, ListKit takes over completely. Here is the timeline of what happens next:

48 to 72 hours - DNS configuration
ListKit configures all DNS records for your domains. You do not need to do anything during this time.

1 to 2 business days - Inbox creation
Your Google inboxes are created and connected to your domains. You will be able to see them appearing in the Inboxes tab inside Email Engine.

2 to 3 weeks - Warmup
Once your inboxes are created, warmup begins automatically. This runs in the background with no action required from you. Warmup takes a minimum of 2 weeks, 3 weeks is recommended for best deliverability.

To check your setup progress at any time, go to Email Engine in the left sidebar and click Inboxes. You will see a progress bar showing exactly which stage your setup is at, Payment Complete, Domains Purchased, Configuring DNS, Creating Inboxes, and Ready.

Expected outcome

Within 3 weeks of completing your setup, your domains are registered, your inboxes are created, DNS is fully configured, and warmup is complete. Your campaigns will be ready to launch.

In the meantime, use the Dream 100 Launch Bonus to start booking meetings from your main inbox while you wait. See: What is the Dream 100 bonus and how do I use it?

Troubleshooting / FAQs

I see Buy Inboxes instead of Setup Now, what do I do?
You are likely inside the Email Engine Inboxes tab rather than the Billing page. Click your initials at the bottom left of your dashboard, select Billing, scroll down to Bundle Setup, and click Setup Now from there.

Not enough domain variations loaded for my tier.
Scroll to the bottom of the domain list, more options will load as you scroll. If you still do not have enough, click Regenerate to get a fresh set of variations.

I cannot click Continue to Checkout.
This means not all of your inboxes have been assigned to a persona yet. Check that both personas have domains assigned and that the total number of inboxes assigned matches your Bundle tier. For a 1,000 emails per day Bundle, both personas combined need to cover all 40 inboxes.

My inboxes are not showing up after 2 business days.
Reach out to support via Intercom chat or at [email protected]. The team will check the status of your inbox provisioning and update you.

Can I change my domain names after setup?
Once domains are registered, they cannot be changed. Choose your domain names carefully during the setup process. If you have concerns, reach out to support before confirming.

What is the warmup period and can I skip it?
Warmup is a mandatory process that runs across the entire cold email industry, it is not specific to ListKit. It builds sender reputation with inbox providers so your emails land in the inbox rather than spam. It takes a minimum of 2 weeks and cannot be skipped. See: What should I do during the warmup period?
