Job titles go a long way towards personalizing your cold emails, without a doubt.

But, I've had a ton of success personalizing emails WITHOUT job titles. In fact, I hardly even reference job titles in my openers.

Here's how I do it:

With my email openers, I'll boost the prospect's ego a bit.

Lines like "Noticed you're a key player in Client Ascension's marketing efforts"

Or

"Noticed you're a key decision maker at ListKit"

Work extremely well to grab prospects' attention and get them to read on.

You're addressing their seniority at the company and acknowledging their importance all at the same time - without referencing their job title!
