TL;DR

  • Webhooks let you automatically push reply data from ListKit into your CRM.

  • ListKit configures the webhook on our end once you provide a webhook URL (typically generated via Zapier).

  • You control what happens to the data once it reaches Zapier — creating contacts, updating records, etc.

  • ListKit can confirm the webhook is sending data, but cannot debug CRM-side logic or field mapping.

When you'd use this / Why it matters

If you want reply data automatically synced into your CRM — instead of manually checking and entering it — a webhook is the most reliable way to make that happen. This keeps your CRM up to date in real time as replies come in.

Important note about webhooks (please read)

ListKit uses a third-party sending provider (best-in-class for deliverability). Because of this:

  • Webhook destinations and logic live on your side (Zapier / CRM)

  • ListKit can only configure the webhook inside the sending tool once you provide the URL

  • We cannot debug CRM-side logic or automation workflows beyond confirming data is sent

This is expected and normal for webhook-based integrations.

How the CRM connection works, end to end

  1. You generate a webhook URL (via Zapier — see "How do I use Zapier with ListKit?" for the full setup)

  2. You send that URL to [email protected]

  3. ListKit configures the webhook inside your sending tool

  4. Once confirmed, every positive reply triggers the webhook automatically

  5. The webhook delivers that reply data to Zapier, which then pushes it into your connected CRM

What you control vs. what ListKit controls

Supported CRMs

Any CRM supported by Zapier can receive data through this setup, including HubSpot, Close, Salesforce, and others.

Expected outcome

You should now be able to:

  • Understand how a webhook connects ListKit reply data to your CRM

  • Know which parts of the setup ListKit handles vs. what you configure yourself

  • Get replies flowing into your CRM automatically without manual entry

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Can ListKit set this up for me end-to-end?
ListKit configures the webhook on our end once you provide the URL, but the Zapier setup and CRM mapping is done on your side.

What replies trigger the webhook?
Positive replies, based on the sending tool's logic.

Can I push data to any CRM?
Yes, as long as it's supported by Zapier.

Can ListKit debug my CRM field mapping?
We can confirm the webhook is delivering data, but CRM-side logic and mapping is managed by you.

Do I need Zapier specifically to do this?
Yes — Zapier is the recommended and supported no-code option for generating and routing the webhook.
