TL;DR

  • You can add leads, pause campaigns, and edit scripts directly in the DFY Sending Tool.

  • Sending volume may be lower than expected due to ramp-up or campaign completion.

  • Duplicate prevention, pacing, and deliverability safeguards are automatic.

  • Most “limits” or behaviors you see are intentional to protect inbox health.

When you’d use this / Why it matters

If you’re using ListKit’s DFY (Done-For-You) Sending Tool, some behaviors may look restrictive or unexpected compared to DIY tools. This FAQ explains the most common questions so you understand what’s editable, what’s automated, and why.

How do I add more leads to my campaign?

You can add leads to an existing campaign at any time.

Steps

  1. Go to https://send.listkit.io and sign in.

  2. Open Email Campaigns.

  3. Click the pencil icon next to the campaign you want to edit.

  4. Go to Import Leads → Upload CSV File.

  5. Leave the toggles as-is if this is a new campaign.

    • ListKit already excludes previous orders.

    • Duplicates are handled automatically.

  6. Map only the fields used in your script (name, company, etc.).

  7. Map phone numbers if included.

  8. Click Save & Next.

  9. Click Skip & Proceed.

  10. Click Update Campaign.

Expected outcome:

Newly added leads start from Step 1, while existing leads continue normally.

How do I pause or resume a campaign?

⚠️ We generally recommend letting campaigns run their course, but pausing is available if needed.

Steps

  1. Go to https://send.listkit.io and sign in.

  2. Open Email Campaigns.

  3. Click the three dots next to the campaign.

  4. Select Pause Campaign.

  5. Use the same menu to resume the campaign.

Why am I not hitting the daily sending limit?

This is expected behavior in most cases.

Common reasons

1. Ramp-up period

  • New campaigns start at low volume.

  • Sending increases gradually over ~10 days.

  • This protects deliverability and inbox placement.

2. Campaign nearing completion

When a campaign is ~65%+ complete:

  • Fewer new leads remain.

  • Only follow-ups are being sent.

  • Daily volume naturally slows.

Solution:

Create a new campaign to maintain consistent sending volume.

How do I change the sending schedule?

You can adjust the time zone and sending window, but some settings should not be changed.

Steps

  1. Open your campaign and go to Setup.

  2. Click Schedule Campaign.

  3. Adjust the time zone as needed.

  4. ❗ Do not change the section labeled:
“An email will be sent every:”

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Save & Next, then Update Campaign.

How do I make changes to a campaign (scripts or schedule)?

Accessing campaign settings

  1. Go to https://send.listkit.io and sign in.

  2. Open Email Campaigns.

  3. Click the pencil icon next to the campaign.

Editing scripts

  • Scripts can be edited directly inside the campaign.

  • Spintax is supported to improve variation and deliverability.

👉 See: What is Spintax and how do I use it?

Editing schedule

  • Follow the steps in How do I change the sending schedule? above.

Why are there fewer leads in the sending tool than in ListKit?

This is usually due to duplicate handling or import logic.

What ListKit automatically prevents sending to:

  • Previous orders

  • Duplicate contacts across campaigns

When importing leads:

  • Leave default import settings selected.

  • If it’s a brand-new campaign, you do not need to enable duplicate toggles.

  • Duplicate protection runs automatically to protect inbox reputation.

Expected outcome:

The sending tool may show fewer leads than your original file, by design.

Final notes

ListKit’s DFY Sending Tool is intentionally designed to:

  • Protect deliverability

  • Automate cold email best practices

  • Prevent duplicate outreach

  • Control ramp-up and pacing automatically

If something looks different than expected, it’s usually tied to inbox health or campaign logic.
