TL;DR

  • ListKit creates and configures domains and inboxes for you.

  • Each domain has 2 inboxes, capped at 25 emails/day per inbox.

  • DNS, warm-up, ramp-up, and inbox reputation are fully managed by ListKit.

  • You don’t need to touch technical settings or warm-up controls.

When you’d use this / Why it matters

If you’re on ListKit’s DFY (Done-For-You) cold email program, deliverability depends heavily on how domains and mailboxes are set up. This article explains exactly what ListKit handles behind the scenes so you know what to expect and what you don’t need to manage.

Domain and mailbox setup

ListKit creates and prepares all sending infrastructure for DFY campaigns.

  • 2 inboxes are created per domain

  • Each inbox is fully set up inside ListKit’s sending tool

  • All required DNS records are configured for deliverability, including:

    • DKIM

    • DMARC

You do not need to configure DNS records manually. Everything follows cold email best practices.

Sending limits

To protect inbox health and sender reputation:

  • Each inbox has a hard limit of 25 emails per day

  • This limit is enforced automatically

  • Limits cannot be overridden

These caps are designed to maximize inbox placement and reduce spam risk.

Sending ramp-up process

All new inboxes follow a controlled ramp-up process.

  1. Campaigns start at 1 email per inbox per day

  2. Sending volume increases by 4 emails per day

  3. Ramp-up continues until the inbox reaches 25 emails/day

This gradual increase builds trust with email providers and stabilizes deliverability.

Warm-up process

Warm-up is required and fully managed by ListKit.

  • Warm-up runs for a minimum of 7 days

  • Warm-up is never turned off

  • ListKit manages:

    • Warm-up enablement

    • Ongoing sending reputation

    • Inbox health monitoring

You do not control or adjust warm-up settings.

Email signature

  • Your email signature is automatically applied during setup

  • You can view or edit your signature later if needed

What ListKit handles for you

With DFY cold email, ListKit is responsible for:

  • Domain creation

  • Inbox creation

  • DNS configuration (DKIM & DMARC)

  • Sending limits and ramp-up

  • Continuous warm-up

  • Inbox reputation management

Expected outcome:

Your inboxes are fully prepared for cold email campaigns without you needing to manage deliverability, DNS, or sending behavior.
