Getting Started: Understanding the Timeline

If you haven't seen results yet, don't worry—this is normal! Cold email lead generation requires patience and strategic thinking.

"Cold email is like planting seeds. You won't see the harvest immediately, but with proper care and patience, the results can be substantial." — Alex Hormozi - Watch Alex explain this concept

The Cold Email Journey: What to Expect

1. The Warm-Up Phase (First 7-14 Days)

New email accounts need 14 days of "warming up" before full-scale outreach can begin.

2. The Ramp-Up Phase (Weeks 2-6)

  • Sending gradually increases over this timeframe

  • First market feedback gained from initial campaign

3. The Follow-Up Phase (30+ Days)

Most positive responses come from follow-ups, which continue for 30 days after the initial email.

4. The Conversion Phase (Varies)

Converting a positive reply into a scheduled call often requires multiple touchpoints over days, weeks, or sometimes months.

From this initial campaign, it is important to build on it and refine the next campaign. Guide at the end.

5. The Sales Process (30+ Days)

After a successful call, the typical B2B sales process takes at least 30 days to close.

Success Story

Take our client Josh Sprague, for example. After experiencing silence for 2-3 months while optimizing campaigns, he suddenly landed:

  • A $4,700 order

  • A $27,000 order

  • A potential $200,000 contract in his pipeline

The Patience Principle

Remember: The same strategies that work for content marketing and advertising work for cold email—it's simply a different vehicle.

The biggest mistake? Giving up too soon. Most people quit just before their campaigns are about to deliver results, wasting all the groundwork they've laid in those crucial first 30 days.
